Applications

Battery Construction

Technical Features
Sealed Construction
ABT's unique construction and sealing technique ensures no electrolyte leakage from case or terminals.
AGM Separator Design
Low resistance microporous glassfibre separator. The electrolyte is absorbed within this material.
Gas Recombination Efficiency
ABT Powerline SC incorporate a built-in design that controls gas generation and provides more than 99% of gasses generation during float usages.
Low Pressure Valve Regulated System
All ABT Powerline SC are equipped with safety release valves, designated to operate between 2 and 6 psi and automatically resea. Hence, there is never an excessive accumulation of gas within the battery .
Maintenance Free Operation
There is no need to check specific gravity of the electrolyte or add water to ABT Powerline SC batteries during float service life.
Operation in any Orientation
The combination of sealed construction and ABT's unique electrolyte suspension system allows operation in any orientation, with no loss of performance or fear of electrolyte leakage.
Valve Regulated Design
The batteries are equipped with a simple, safe low pressure venting system which releases excess gas and automatically reseals should there be a build up of gas within the battery due to severe overcharge. However, on no account should the battery be charged in a sealed container.
Grids
The lead calcium alloy grids provide an extra margin of performance and life in floating applications ,which give unparalleled recovery from deep discharge.
Float Service Life
The expected service life is 3~5 years in float standby applications.
Separators
The use of the separator material provides a very efficient insulation between plates preventing inter-plate short circuits and prohibiting the shedding of active materials.
Long shelf Life
The extremely low shelf discharge rate allows the battery to be stored for extended periods up to one year at normal ambient temperatures with no permanent loss of capacity.
Operating Temperature Range
The batteries can be used over a broad temperature range permitting considerable flexibility in system design and location
Charge: – 10oC to 60oC
Discharge: – 20oC to 60oC
Storage: – 20oC to 60oC (fully charged battery)
